It’s a new year, and I hope everyone is getting off to a great start internally. We are all taking life day by day, but we should always do daily check-ins with ourselves. I love using daily affirmations every day, and it makes me feel happy, confident and strong. When I repeat my affirmations throughout the day it shows me I am worthy of everything that is coming into my life. I want to be completely transparent with you, I do have my bad days were my self esteem isn’t as high as other days. We are all human, we all have our highs and lows, but how we decide to look at the circumstance shows our true worth and value.
What are symtoms of low self-esteem?
Suppose you feel bad about yourself as if you want to give up or any sense of depression or anxiety. These are symptoms of low self-confidence within yourself. It’s okay to have moments of insecurity when you aren’t feeling your best but don’t let it get the best of you. Here are other signs of low self-esteem.
- Saying negative things and being critical about yourself.
- Focusing on your negatives and ignoring your achievements.
- Thinking other people are better than you.
- Not accepting compliments.
- Feeling sad, depressed, anxious, ashamed, or angry.
What are the impacts of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem and low vibrations can bring you down into a deep depression, which causes you to be at a stand still in life. It can also cause illnesses, body aches, and a loss of interest in things you love. When you are at your lowest point, always remember that it is just a moment in time and you WILL get through it. Confidence is a huge factor for getting through life, so always keep a mental note to keep you on track.
What causes low self-esteem?
The causes of low self-esteem can come from not feeling pretty enough, good enough, not achieving the success you want, or even a family or friend not believing in you. It can come from so many different avenues, but I believe these factors can only get to you when you are at your lowest. When it comes to self-confidence it takes time, this is why you need to work on yourself everyday so nothing can stand in your way. The world will always have people who don’t think you’re good enough, or even believe in your dreams – BUT, that’s okay! The only person who needs to believe in you is YOU! Once you know your self worth, no one can hurt you or make you feel small.
