Looking for skincare products that actually work with your skin type can be a pain. Over the past few months, I feel like my skin has been completely out of wack. I have dry patchy spots in my T-zone and oily spots in other places, to sum it up I have a combination skin type. In all honesty, I’m a very straightforward girl who never really had an actual skincare routine. But I just turned thirty, and I want to take better care of my self-care and skin.

I’ve tried different drugstore products and they seem to also let me down. I’ve noticed a lot of products have alcohol in them which drys your skin out. Also, I have very sensitive skin, so I have to watch out for what I use on a daily basis. After doing some research I came across a few products that I now live by. I’ve tested everything out for about two weeks so I can leave creditable reviews. I want to provide you guys with quality products to make life easier. These products are on the higher end as for the cost but I feel like I’m getting my money’s worth.

I purchased all of my products from Sephora! Everyone knows they are a one-stop-shop for all things beauty. Here is my Sephora Top 6 Skincare Picks.

The Skincare Picks

DRUNK ELEPHANT Beste™ No. 9 Jelly Cleanser

OMG! I love this Druck Elephant Beste cleanser, its very lightweight with a soft fruity smell that isn’t overpowering. It has a jelly-like texture and a little goes a long way. For application –I wet my face and then drop a dime-size amount of product in my palm and apply until it lathers. It minimizes my pores and leaves my face feeling fresh and clean.

OLEHENRIKSEN Transforming Walnut Scrub

If you want a gentle facial scrub, Olehenriksen Transforming Walnut Scrub is in it to win it. I love it when I can give my skin a nice scrub to get rid of all the dead skin. Also, this product doesn’t leave your face feeling tight after an application. My skin actually feels smooth, soft, and hydrated. I’m so happy I added this scrub to my skincare routine, I use it about 3 times a week or every other day.

KIEHL’S SINCE 1851 Ultra Facial Cream

After a gentle scrub, you definitely need to add some moisture back into your skin. I heard so many great reviews on the Kiehl’s – Ultra Facial Cream, so you know I had to try it out. It’s extremely moisturizing and is recommended for nightly use only. The consistency is light and creamy. Again, a little goes a long way with this cream and you will be happy with how your skin glows the next morning. I purchased the 1.7 oz jar, and I think it will last me for a while.

KIEHL’S SINCE 1851 Ultra Facial Moisturizer SPF 30

To bounce off the Facial cream, I also purchased the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer with sunscreen. I was kind of skeptical about buying a moisturizer with sunscreen as I have darker skin, as there is a chance you will see the white residue. BUT to my surprise, I didn’t have that issue. If you use a small amount and massage it in, you won’t see the milky residue that sunscreen usually leaves on your skin. It does have a slight sunscreen scent but it fades away shortly after. I think this is a great product for the summer.

THE INKEY LIST Caffeine Eye Cream

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I have bags under my eyes. I’ve had them for most of my life, so I accepted it for what it is. I found The Inkey List Caffeine Eye Cream, and it truly does help with puffiness. I apply it right after the moisturizer, and it works wonders under my eye area. It is lightweight and cruelty-free! I try to use this product daily, especially before I apply makeup.

DRUNK ELEPHANT Lippe Balm

I’ve been looking for a new lip balm that keeps my lips moisturized and stays on for more than 5 mins lol. I love the Drunk Elephant Lippe Balm, it’s light and helps rejuvenate your lips throughout the day. It’s in a cute small tube so you can take it everywhere. It smells good, and I have to say this was a good purchase.
